In this post, I’ll be covering information related to infertility treatment. Since there are differences between when we had Royul in 2019-2020 and now, I’ll update you with the latest information!
First, the criteria for infertility vary depending on age, but it’s generally determined when pregnancy doesn’t occur despite having unprotected intercourse for a certain period. After our first miscarriage, we had relations for a year but still couldn’t conceive, so we received an infertility diagnosis and started treatment.
Infertility treatment is broadly divided into artificial insemination and IVF (in vitro fertilization). We tried artificial insemination for a year but it didn’t work, so we gave up (fortunately, we eventually conceived naturally 😊).
Oh! Gayul came to us as a blessing through IVF treatment.
The government provides a lot of support for infertility-related treatment! In terms of the financial burden, I’d say artificial insemination is quite manageable. IVF really requires tightening your belt. That’s about it 😅
Artificial insemination treatment was really affordable, but IVF was in a completely different price range.
Why is there such a difference? During IVF, you receive various injections because the body has rejection reactions. These injections are non-covered items, so they far exceed the supported amount, resulting in out-of-pocket costs. If you’re preparing for IVF, I recommend securing extra funds before starting!
We met Royul through natural conception and Gayul after just 2 IVF attempts, but I know many people are struggling. I’m cheering for everyone preparing to welcome a baby! 💕
※ Important: Written based on 2025 standards, many aspects have changed since 2019-2020!

2019-2020 vs 2025, Here’s What Changed!
Compared to when we received infertility treatment for Royul, many aspects have really improved now. Especially the 25 attempts per birth support is a significant change. In our time, it was only 9 attempts per couple.
However, IVF still carries a significant financial burden. Since there are many non-covered items, actual out-of-pocket costs can be higher than expected, so adequate preparation is necessary.
Still, government support is gradually expanding, and there’s additional local government support available, so make sure to research and utilize everything you can!
Sending encouragement to everyone waiting for a baby. If you don’t give up and keep trying like we did, you’ll surely meet that precious connection. Stay strong! 💪💕
